I have recently retired from teaching AutoCAD in the high school setting to students who wish to pursue a career in a Design field. The range of students are often varied, but a minimum requirement is that they are either in or have completed Geometry. I believe in the 'show & tell' method of teaching that allows students to follow along & learn, rather than memorize a process.
In my career I have sent hundreds of students on a Design career path including 2 yr, 4 yr & direct hire. I try to make my lessons relevant to other courses & apply skills learned there. The fundamentals learned within my instruction will prepare a student for all areas of Design and Production.
I have a Masters Degree in Industrial Technology from Clemson University & have taught Drafting/CAD for 30 years in High Schools and I'm currently employed at Greenville Tech where I teach AutoCAD in both Mechanical & Architectural design. I am also well versed in SketchUp 3-d modeling.
