I am eager to help students with their writing projects, their history classes, their literature assignments and thoughts, and preparation for any type exam in these areas. I help students develop a love for the topics that frustrate them, and I share the joy with students who already have it.
I began my university career at University College London, selected as the top North American entering student and received a 5000 pound scholarship. I received my BA from the University of Pennsylvania double majoring in History and English magna cum laude.
At Penn I was selected as a student in the honors program, and as part of my work I chose to spend time with a humanities committee, presenting a topic related to advancing education because my thesis was on rebuilding universities in post-war West Berlin. I was selected as one of the two, top students and received a stipend for my research trip to Germany allowing me to find primary source material in the . My thesis led me to graduate with specific History honors.
I received my MPhil in Modern European History at the University of Cambridge. I wrote my dissertation on the education of young ANC students in East German universities and East Germany's support of many national groups making an effort to take down unfair governments that lasted even past some colonialist removals. I received funding from the German Academic Exchange Service to conduct research in Germany. I graduated with a high 2:1 on my dissertation.
My love of history and English, but also learning in general, brings my excitement when I have an opportunity to work with students who often find the same passion I have.
