I graduated Suma-Cum Laude from Florida International University in 2015, from where I earned a double B.A in European Intellectual History (with a designated emphasis in 18th century France), and Philosophy (with a designated emphasis in the Continental tradition). I will be earning my MA (History/Philosophy) from the same institution this upcoming Summer, and shortly after will be beginning my JD/Ph.D career.
My tutoring firstly addresses the student’s current strengths and builds upon that foundation to, ultimately, polish the student’s academic performance -- in the process tailoring each lesson according to each student’s needs. My objective is to foment a collaborative and positive learning environment wherein each student’s needs are addressed.
My rates are negotiable, intended to be tailored to both the student’s needs and financial budget. Especial rate consideration will be given to pre-K-high school students of lower income families. Contact for further information.
I have been teaching in one form or another for about 7-8 years. During this time I have worked with students from all over the world, and from all walks of life. I’ve taught intimate college Philosophy seminars as a TA (4-7 students), to auditorium courses (125+ students) in the same semester. I have also tutored elementary, junior and senior high school students online and in person; most of this tutoring has been in English and English Literature, Science, AP curricula, and Maths, and have had a designated emphasis on reading and writing skills as well as preparation for the PSAT, SAT, and ACT.
