I am a high school chemistry teacher. I've taught grades 9-12. I do at least one lab per module with my students. I prefer hands-on learning and the use of manipulatives to help my students contextualize the theoretical concepts they struggle with in chemistry.
I have been tutoring and doing small groups for 6 years, and I have been a lead teacher for 3 years. Typically, my class sizes have ranged anywhere from 4 to 33 students. All my students, even the ones who hate science, have gained the confidence to tutor their friends (even college friends) who are struggling with chemistry.
I have a bachelor's in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. And, I am currently working on my Master's in secondary science education through Saint Joseph's University.
