I taught math and statistics at Clemson. I have a Ph.D. in statistics and operations research.
I love to tutor. I teach the 'how and when to do it method'. Try to make every lesson fun and interesting and relevant to the student. I have had excellent success, raising D level students to high Bs or As. Always try to find the easiest way for the student to grasp and remember the material and know when to apply it. I won the Excellence in Teaching Award at Clemson twice for Best Teacher in Math. I focus on practical examples rather than theory.
I taught Math (Algebra, Calculus, Quantitative Analysis, Operations Research) and Statistics and Probability at Sacred Heart Univ. in CT for 7 years. I taught at Clemson for 5 years. I have tutored students since I was an undergrad at Rutgers in NJ. From 1995 to 2000 I taught roughly 120 students per semester. I have tutored over 30 privately at all high school and college levels, including preparation for SAT, GRE, GMAT. My students outperform and retain material.
I won Best Undergrad in Statistics from the Amer. Statistics Ass'n.
I received B.A.s in Math and Statistics from Rutgers and a triple Ph.D. from Clemson in 2000.
I have been published in numerous journals and wrote a book on the application of stat analysis to the financial markets, published by Barnes & Noble.
I specialize in Algebra I and II and probability and statistics.
I try to make every session fun and educational.
