Graduate student in teaching English as a second language gives English or Spanish lessons to young learners or adults.
I'm an international graduate student in Boston University. I am in the process of getting a M.Ed. in Teaching English as a Second Language. I'm from Dominican Republic but did my undergrad education in Elementary Education (K-12) in Flagler College, Florida. I've been teaching Kinder in an international school in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for three years. My first language is Spanish and I'm fluent in English. I've also tutored adults that are beginners in English and in Spanish.
My lessons are personalized, dynamic, and hands on. I use excellent methodologies to design a perfect plan for your specific needs. My goal is too see weekly progress in my students. I asses before and after a new lesson, in that way I can design my lessons based on my student's needs. My goals is to have my student reach independence. I work together with my students to reach their potential and goal.
My coworkers and supervisors describe me as a very responsible, organized, charismatic and creative teacher but that knows when to set boundaries and limitations. As a Kindergarten teacher, I got Teacher of the Quarter awards in two occasions. I'm passionate about teaching and I believe it is the most rewarding job. I enjoy every second of it!
