After his Ph.D. [Environmental Management] in the Department of Earth and Environmental Studies, College of Science and Mathematics, Montclair State University NJ USA, Michael returned to Federal University of Technology Owerri Nigeria. He transferred from Geology Department to Department of Environmental Technology as coordinated of Geo-environmental option. Michael functioned as Chairman in the following committees: Curriculum review, Accreditation planning, Field School, and the School Seminar Series. Michael has put in 25 years to teaching and research, authored a book, and 41 papers in highly rated journals. He has just arrived for one year sabbatical leave, conducting a research title: “Surficial Geologic Processes and Environmental Stress; Impacts on Groundwater Development and Conservation in the Lower Schuylkill River Basin” with Professor Huan Feng of Montclair State University New Jersey. He is also the coordinator of global solid waste research with Dr. Ronald Mersky of Widener University Pennsylvania. Michael is a U.S. citizen and now looking for field employment.
Michael is innovative; he understands the learning process and works hard to adapt advanced skills in Geology, Geophysics and Environmental management practices. Michael is an expert in groundwater exploration and development, to groundwater conservation management. He is experienced in 1D/2D/3D Resistivity and Seismic imaging techniques. He is also experienced in groundwater and subsurface studies using MODFLOW/MODPATH Codes to numerical modeling of watershed. He is conversant with map making using GPS/GIS for drainage analysis, and environmental monitoring and assessment.
