Music Lessons in Composition, Arranging, Theory, and History taught by Composition Bachelor

Composition lessons vary from session to session. If the student composed something before the lesson, we will use our time to discuss the composition. Otherwise, we may compose during the lesson, listen to and analyze music, and learn theory and history. While I believe music theory is important in writing music, I welcome students to break the rules and experiment to develop their own unique style.

Group lessons (of at least two students) start at $36/hour.
Additional lessons on the same or a secondary subject start at $20/hour ($16/hour for group lessons).
Advanced payment for at least one month of lessons saves between 1% and 10%.
If you refer a student to take at least one paid lesson with me, you and your referral will receive one free lesson each.

Brian's Experience

I have been passionate about music since I was five years old. I do not think I could give one specific reason for my passion, but it is obvious that I find music to be very important to me. I enjoy exploring music and discovering new concepts while sharing my ideas, and I believe teaching music will be a challenging and fulfilling way to share my passion.

Brian's CV

I am a graduate of Concordia University, Irvine with a Bachelor's in music composition. I have developed a theory about microtonal music which as strong ties to color theory in visual art, and intend to earn my doctorate in music composition.
