Current medical student, near completion of my medical degree at MUSC and on my way to becoming a surgeon. Completed my BS in Biology at Furman University in Greenville, SC while on scholarship.
I use problem solving as my preferred method of teaching. This way it becomes an interactive session for student and tutor. Engagement is key in my mind!
Teaching has been one of the loves of my life. Throughout college I tutored for a variety of courses- genetics, basic biology, Spanish, health sciences, even test management and test taking strategy. I taught one-on-one as well as large groups of 20+. Once in medical school, I began working as an anatomy tutor for PA students in the anatomy lab and in small group question sessions. I have helped those who weren't thrilled about the sciences and have also taught those who wanted an in-depth understanding to further their medical career.
Certain courses may require increased prep work. I will always confirm my rate with you before we meet.

I am a colleague of Alex's as we attend medical school together, and I can say she is one of the best and brightest! I highly recommend her, as she is one of the most trustworthy and helpful people I know. She would be a great tutor for any student, and she gets along well with everyone she meets!
Alex and I are classmates in medical school as well as friends outside of school. She is extremely passionate and full of life! She has worked incredibly hard during her training and is very knowledgable, and I would definitely recommend her as a teacher!
