I am looking to assist students within architecture school looking for advice on their studio projects and papers.
I can spend time discussing the content of their projects and offer suggestions for directions going forward - with more time and focus typically available in traditional studio settings.
I am also available for proof reading and feedback on architectural essays and papers.
I have a laid back but passionate approach to teaching. I love to delve into projects and discuss people's ideas and how the boundaries of architectural thinking can be challenged and pushed.
I am an architectural school graduate with a Masters degree from the University of Auckland. I consistently finished top of my year and my thesis received a President's Medal Commendation from the Royal Institute of British Architects. I have taught three studios at the University of Auckland and assisted the Head of Design in coordination second year design. I moved to Los Angeles in 2017 to attend the inaugural Free School of Architecture and subsequently ended up running it for 2018 alongside three other woman. In New Zealand I was working for Bull O'Sullivan Architects and I am currently working for LOC Architects in Los Angeles, working on a range of projects from residential, to commercial to schools.
I enjoy working in practice but my passion is teaching and alternative architecture pedagogy.
