My methodology or approach to a lesson will vary because each student varies in how they learn. What always remain constant though, is that I build rapport with each student. This will make both parties loose and comfortable and get rid of any hindrance that would prevent the student from getting the full experience of a lesson. This also helps me to know how to proceed with a certain method to assist said student.
I am a math/physics coach an I have been sharing my knowledge with students of all ages for more than 5 years. Out of those 5 years I have interacted with over 500 students. This does seem like quite a number, but I always want to focus on the main goal and that is making sure each and every student achieve what they came to me for. Sometimes as teaches/tutors/coaches/mentors, we don't realize how impactful we are to someone, and they sometimes let us know. For example, a few of the students I assisted gave me gifts for helping them gain the knowledge to pass a class, or even to pass a quiz/test. The fact the I can open the eyes and minds of students in that way is the best to me.
