Hey there! I am currently a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in biochemistry and a certificate in pre-health professions. I was a hospital corpsman/ surgical assistant in the United States Navy for 4.5 years. I have mentored students of all ages, and truly love helping people learn and reach their goals (as well as exceed their own expectations). I had a 4.0 gpa with 70 credit hours before transferring to UT from Lone Star College (Houston), and ACC (Austin). My gpa at UT is currently a 3.6. Let's learn!
Methodology: I know everyone learns differently, and I take this into consideration. I use visual aids, PowerPoint, flash cards, reviews, and hands-on teaching methods to help students learn the material they need.
I have mentored students in 3rd grade reading and writing, 4th grade science, and 5th grade math, as well as tutoring for biology, chemistry, public speaking, and math, for all levels of education. I have taught a total of 150 students. I also lead education seminars for medical related topics while in the Navy.
