I'm a recent Biology graduate looking to give lessons in all of the middle and high school sciences and undergraduate collegiate biology coursework. My methods mainly consist of guiding the thought train through relevant material and solidifying concepts to help students reach their capstone potential. I'm a firm believer in "see one, do one, teach one" method, and I find it to be the most successful method for teaching material in the sciences. I'm a patient instructor and am incredibly flexible in terms of adjusting teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
I have 3 years of experience in instruction in the sciences and have previously taught Human Anatomy and Physiology in an adjunct capacity. I've lead numerous undergraduate research projects and mentored multiple up and coming STEM students. Students who have worked with me have seen improved grades and successful completion of published research.
My rates don't vary based on the level of the student. I do, however, charge 10 extra dollars per hour that I have to drive to get to you.
I currently hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology, am a member of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society, Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society, and have publications in hardwood tree genomics as well as The Journal of Genome Announcements. I also recently spent a field season with The National Ecological Observatory Network collecting climate change data on a continental scale.
