My teaching method involves finding out what students are having a hard time with, wether that means a specific topic or class, but also if they are utilizing smart study skills that can make the university experience much easier. I am good at helping students improve their memory of certain topics, at answering questions about complex topics, helping students to write concise academic papers, and even to help them improve areas such as public speaking! I consider myself a lifelong student and teacher, and I passionate about all things learning and biology especially, and I like to try my best to make things fun and interesting!
Hello :) I have an undergraduate degree from University of Winnipeg in Biology / Environmental Studies (Forest Ecology). I was on the deans (honors) list all four years that I attended (high academic achievement). I am just about to complete my Master's degree in Biology also at U of W. While I have been getting my Master's I have instructed introductory Biology labs, and have been a teacher's assistant in several courses in Bio/Geo/Environmental Studies as well! I have a bunch of teaching experience and consider myself a natural teacher (I also teach yoga and meditation/mindfulness). I love the look I see in a student's eyes when they really "get" a concept and it clicks, and I have seen that look many times :)
