Shotokan karate is based on the following motto:
1. Seek perfection of character.
2. Be faithful.
4. Respect others.
5. Refrain from violent behavior.
Karate is about mastering various self defense techniques as well as becoming a better person in terms of character, confidence and resilience. Therefore, I would like to successfully pass on this message to my students. As far as the techniques are concerned, I would gradually develop my students by teaching them the very basics of self defense to more complicated combinations of movements known as kata.
