My career spans 30 years of international experience in Management, Managerial Accounting, international Finance, Management Information Systems, Network Design, Network Security, Systems Analysis, Telecommunication & Data Networks, Enterprise Architecture, Decision Support Systems, IS Strategy, AI/Expert Systems, Software Development, Database Management, Human Factors and Microcomputer/End User Computing. Operations Management, Engineering, Marketing and Finance.
Some of my experience covers various industries and includes standards testing, wood and wood products manufacturing, contracting engineering, engineering consulting, and service management. Corporate involvement included Braemore Engineering Services and Servicemaster.
I joined Braemore in 1985 as technical manager and had overall operational control of engineering contracting and consulting and was promoted to general manager. In 1989 I joined Servicemaster and eventually held the position of president of the company. My accomplishments include, improved employee retention, increased productivity growth, increased customer satisfaction, and the creation of a new division for the marketing of new services to the clinical manufacturing industry
I hold a first degree in management from the University of the West Indies along with an MBA where I majored in Management Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Doctorate degree at in Finance with a second specialty in Information Technology Systems from Nova Southeastern University. I am currently a visiting professor at several schools where I teach a variety of business courses.

Director of Environmental Services. Responsible for the hospital, and the clinical manufacturing operations and marketing of a service company that employed 60,000, with revenues that exceed $2 billion and provided management services to industry and healthcare, franchises that operated independently as well as services to the travel industry.
• Created a new division for the marketing of new services to the clinical manufacturing industry that had sales of $3 million year one and $28 million year 2.
• Trained all sales staff in sales techniques that resulted in keeping of 89% of all new business and savings of $47 million over 3 years and thereby addressed customer satisfaction issues.
• Created a new process where quality is improved in a methodological basis and this raised the company quality 20% in six months and also resulted in savings of $900,000.
• Re-negotiated new contracts with existing customers to institute a cost of living increase in the new contract which helped the company deal with inflation on an ongoing basis.
• Created a quality management system that increased quality from 48% to 97% over two years and was recognized by the company as the standard.
• Increased the production and throughput of the clients the company served by 41% in using critical chain techniques.

1983 – 1988 Braemore Engineering Services
General Manager Responsible for the daily operation of a privately held engineering contracting and consulting firm that employed 1600 staff with sales of $35 million. The company serviced specialized in heavy industries such as aluminum smelting, water, sewerage, construction, sugar, food processing, power generation, and brewing.
• Developed time management system that increased productivity by 23% over a six month period.
• Created a training system that reduced the training time for new employees 50%.
• Created a sales system that increased sales by $1 Million in 9 months by understanding existing customers and seeking similar ones.
• Re-negotiated contracts with major suppliers that saved the company 23% on operating expenses in the first year and 11% in the second year totaling 14 million.

• Formulated a production incentive program that increased production 38% year 1 and 17% year 2.

• Designed and implemented a preventive maintenance that reduced breakdowns and saved $2 M in one year.
• Re-negotiated Union contract which saved the company 15 million over the life of the contract.
• Redistributed the work by performing a workflow analysis that resulted in a 32% increase in production with no increase in labor cost.
• Created a Standard Operation System that increased operational efficiency and streamlined the operation of the company. so that the operations reduced cost by 12 % and resulted in savings of $1.4 million.
• Established a logistics distribution system which resulted in improved delivery times and savings of $2.9 million.
