The fundamentals of music are obviously necessary, and must be taught. However, I believe that students who are self-motivated learn best, which means that it is very important for me to know what they want to learn. I would like to give them as many choices as they want on what they want to learn. However, if they don't know what they want, I am here to provide guidance and point them in what I believe to be the right direction.
Students who are very serious about music should find a more qualified teacher. I would be more than happy to teach casual students who are interested in playing the piano as a hobby.
I am a student who has been playing the piano for 12 years (since I was 5). I have no teaching experience, but I have taken lessons and know how to teach the fundamentals of teaching sight reading and playing the piano.
The rate is $20/hr, and is lowered to $15/hr on Webcam (it is more effective to teach in person). Due to my lack of experience and certification, it is natural for the rate to be lower.
If you wish to cancel a lesson, please give me a two hour notice via text ((concealed information)). It causes no major inconvenience :)
