I have also studied psychology which has helped to broaden not only my understanding of students but also to be eclectic. I am proud to have a Russian school from my idol, Slava Rostropovich, but I am aware of other approaches depending on the goals and needs of each student.

I am a professional cellist and have performed in the US, North, South America, and Europe. I have shared my passion for cello teaching for 30 years, I started young and also know how to teach other string instruments. My Bachelor was a seven-year program at The National Conservatory of Buenos Aires, Two Masters degree from The University of Missouri Kansas City,(Cello Performance and Music Composition), and my Ph.D. in Cello Performance at The University of Houston.
I did study post-doctoral with a world-class artist, V. Saradjian, who was also my Ph.D. professor since 2008-2015.

Mr. Marcelo was a wonderful instructor. My son learned very quickly and I enjoyed hearing him play.
I would recommend him to anyone who wanted to learn to play the cello or violin.

Marcelo is an outstanding cello player, also he has the didactic method to patiently educate any person willing to learn to play not only cello but multiple chord instruments.
I highly recommend him, he will do a good job in spite of your skills level or even your age.

Marcelo and I have worked together on many occasions. He was a cello soloist when I was the conductor of Symphony North of Houston. He was a professor of cello at Houston Community College when I was head of the music department. He has a wealth of experience. He is a talented performer and a gifted teacher.
