Using all forms of art, predominantly visual and theatre-based I approach every lesson by understanding the student(s) goals and creating personalized lesson plans that each student an opportunity to experience the learning more organically and to be instrumental in the entire learning progress. Using techniques that are grounded in a kinesthetic/visual approach to learning every lesson is a handson, expressive and well-organized series where growth is easily discernible.
I have a Masters degree in Education in the Arts from Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts as well as a TOFL certificate and both a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Theatre Arts. I have worked extensively in New York City and in England successfully teaching English to non-native speakers from 8 years old to adult and in both in private and group sessions. I have had the pleasure of developing several programs that focus on creative lesson-based activity and project-focused learning.

Researched, created and implemented all lessons in the 4-week United States cultural immersion program. Through creative exercises, content based lesson plans, intensive discussion groups and cultural excursions I immersed my 24 Vietnamese students (aged 9 – 19) visiting New York City from the American School of Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City in the history of the United States and New York City. My comprehensive lessons focused on topics ranging from the history of Skyscrapers to U.S. Politics and the history and cultural attractions of Washington D.C.
Organized all facets of the daily activities (on and off campus) for over 200 international students with a focus on cultural awareness, language improvement, artistic expression. Daily outings included tours of major NYC cultural and historic attractions. Booked all meals off-campus coordinating with multiple restaurants daily to accommodate large groups.
