My teaching methodology is one that helps the student relate the concepts of which they are learning to things that they might encounter in their life. I try my best to try and understand where the student is coming from, as I do not want to preach when I tutor. If the student does not understand what I am saying initially, then there is no reason for me to continue. After the student understands and comprehends what I tell them, I then ask for them to re-explain it to me, in a way that I am now a student and they are now the teacher. This method helps the student by really demonstrating whether or not they have successfully retained all of that information in their brain.
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Houston. I have never given anyone any official tutoring lessons, however, I have done a lot of volunteering and hospitality events that have helped people to achieve all their goals.
