Students often get discouraged when seeing a problem that looks foreign to them. I believe that it is this discouragement that hinders them from understanding, rather than not "being smart." My ultimate goal is to let the student discover their own intelligence and guide them in their thought process so that they may be able to think outside the box and solve problems on their own.
I am a current engineering student at Texas A&M currently with a 4.0 major GPA. I graduated at the top of my class in high school and have tutored many students both privately and through my school's tutoring organization. My specialties are in math and math SAT prep.
