Chemistry teacher-scholar offering chemistry, maths, and physics lessons in LA with 5-years experience

Methodology

I’ve realized that the most effective way in expanding a student’s understanding and interests of the subject is not by reiterating the text or the lectures, but rather by expanding on examples given by the problems seen in each possibility. I always devote additional effort in creating an encouraging and comfortable learning environment for students of all backgrounds.

Background

I am a chemistry teacher-scholar with double B.S. in Finance and EE, Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry. I have more than 20 classes (including General Chemistry theory, lower and upper division Physical Chemistry theory, General and
Organic laboratory, physics and maths) taught (more than 1000 students) with teaching evaluation 8.5 or higher out of 9 at UCLA. I also have 1 year online tutor experience, assess and instruct students online to approach answers properly, review concepts, propose follow-up questions, and develop healthy study habits, offer live tutorial sessions for chemistry, mathematics, and physics
