I try to reach everyone with the way I teach. It is important to remember that not all students learn the same way. Coming up with different ways to present the information to the students is always optimal for their learning. I believe in inclusion and try to make all my students feel important and build their self confidence. I can follow curriculum given or create my own given enough time. I have had to teach lessons on the fly, and while I succeeded, I would rather have a plan in place. I am easily reachable and will go out of my way to help those that needs it.
I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Recreation or fitness recreation basically. I worked at a summer sports camp in New Hampshire for two summers where I coached all sports for boy's ages 5-13. I then worked at a juvenile treatment center where I was in charge of the P.E. program. While there I implemented a circuit training curriculum for the youth because so many of them were gaining weight with the inactivity. I then went back to Northwest to get my Master's in Recreation Management. I still need to finish my thesis to complete my Master's. While at Northwest I served as a Graduate Assistant at a Ropes Course run by the University. I really enjoyed and still enjoy working out there. After two years of graduate school I taught P.E. two years at a small rural school in Missouri.
All of this is can be negotiated depending on how in depth the lesson or length of travel. I am pretty flexible.
