I am a college graduate from Rice University (ranked #15 in U.S. News) with a B.S. in Astrophysics, and am excited to have the chance to help others succeed in the fields I am passionate about. I will deliver personal 1-on-1 sessions tailored to the student's level of understanding and needs, and formulate a plan to achieve success with measurable goals.
In college, I was the TA for a linear algebra programming class, and spent many hours helping individuals learn in group sections and in 1-on-1 sessions. Students would come in with a wide range of background or understanding in the subject, and I would make it my personal goal to see each person leave with at the very least the knowledge to make a significant effort in solving the problem on their own. I sought for the students to not just arrive at the correct solution, but to understand the reasoning and steps to make in order to get there. Ultimately, I aimed to teach students to utilize the resources they had in their individual toolboxes to solve complex problems.
