I always make it an easy and attainable challenge for my students when I tutor/teach. This method of teaching Mathematics is a combination of Socratic(Discovery) Method and techniques of "Positive Reinforcement". If/when my student's response is other than what is acceptable, a few more and easier
related questions are posed to help the student discover why her/his initial answer was other than the correct answer which was sought. This approach eliminates the possibility of the students' negative self-acceptance and low self image.
