I am a postgraduate vocal and instrumental composer at the University of Manchester. As well as a composer I've had 13 years experience as an ensemble and solo guitarist, with appearances on two albums, an EP and my own single. I am offering tuition in composition and guitar (electric, acoustic, bass mainly) from beginners through to budding professionals.
I always like to start with the fundementals, but I always put these in context with some cool pieces so that you're learning but also understanding why it's important to learn these things and also to have fun with it, what's the point otherwise!?
In order to get the most out of your time with lessons, it would be best to discuss with me what you are hoping to get out of our lessons, so I can timetable and plan effectively. If you don't know what you want, or are hoping to expand your creational horizons then our first lesson will cover a brief overview of some of the techniques one might find in the music that you are interested in. Then we can work from there and build from the ground up!
