I like giving students an opportunity to try figuring out the answer to the question on their own, and then guide them to the solution, rather than giving them the answer straight away. This allows them to gain those critical thinking skills necessary for upper level courses. I would like to work with the student as a team when achieving the answer to the question or problem .
I have recently been given acceptance to dental school and want to help students reach their potential in the science field. I have done one semester of Anatomy and Physiology student assisting, which entailed, doing student review sessions and helping students with exercises in class. I attended an honors college which focused on critical thinking in the upper level science courses. I am a cellular neuroscience major with experience in research writing as well.
