I tend to give lessons to high school students that are learning algebra, geometry, or pre-calculus. My teaching style is pretty simple. I like to teach the student the new lesson and then I would perform practice problems myself while the student watches to see how it do it. Then I have the student try similar problems and keep giving her/him more problems until she/he has mastered it.
I have been tutoring for 2 years now and I have tutored 5 students total. All of the students I have tutored have found success, one of them raising their grade from D to a B+. I presently go to Santa Clara University and still help students here with math.
Right now I am presently pursuing a degree in economics at Santa Clara University. In my past, I have worked as a machinist which required various techniques learned in geometry and algebra. This allows me to relate the subject I teach to my students to the real world and real-life examples I have had with algebra and geometry.
