My dominant language is English and my native language is Russian.
I am fully fluent in Russian and teach conversation; grammar, reading and writing. Tutor college students for Russian. Organize tutoring around regular syllabi for Rus 101-102 and Rus 201-202
I've been giving lessons both one-to-one and online for 5 years as a part time job.
Never left a student unsatisfied about the quality of my work.
The best projects were with the students who wanted to improve their English pronunciation and fluency in speaking. Most often my students enjoy conversation classes based on newspaper articles, modern short stories, TV shows.
In Russian, college students improve from a C+ to a solid B in two weeks and have no problem with Russian ever after. An advanced learner reached near-native fluency in two month with a film-based course that I designed for her. We had classes once a week.
I would like to add additional $5 dollars for my travel expenses if I go to a student's place.
A 5-hour pack give a student a discount of $5
A 10-hour pack means the tenth lesson is free and the discount of the total amount is $25.

Marina is an excellent English teacher and a real expert in linguistics! I am very thankful and glad that I found her!
At the end of last year, I was still hopeless and did not know how to do my final exam for my master's degree in English. Luckily I met with Marina and she helped me improve my English skills in a short time. Thanks to Marina's support I was able to complete all my important exams excellently.
Marina's lessons are super organized, structured and always very interesting.
I have not only found a very good English teacher but also a very nice and pleasant person!
I am looking forward to further lessons with Marina and therefore I can definitely recommend her!
Marina was my first English teacher, and I was so fortunate to have her.
Marina was recommended to me by a Russian professor and we had some in-person classes. When she moved out of state, we continued our classes on Skype and I'm so happy she agreed to continue being my teacher! She is a great teacher who understands the struggles of native English speakers to learn Russian. Classes with her just fly by and I learn so much new vocabulary and ways of expressing myself. Homework is so much fun and she is very patient and encouraging. If you get a chance to study with her, take it, you won't regret it!
Marina is enthusiastic and really involved. She will try to answer to your demand and help you to reach your goal at the best she can.
I wanted improve my pronunciation and my grammar in English. She adapted her methods according to my request. She was fun, patient and very reactive. I really enjoyed my class with her.
Marina is enthusiastic, perceptive, kind, and encouraging. She has a serious academic grounding and combines it with excellent people skills. Marina has the ability to teach at any level, from beginner to advanced.
