After graduating from Chico State in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a minor in psychology, he earned a multiple-subject credential from Sacramento State and a Master of Arts in Education Leadership in 2009. The majority of jobs and tasks I have undertaken have been heavily centered on writing curriculum and coaching teachers in the in English and mathematics, most recently with a common core focus. For the last five years, I have written curriculum for private education companies focusing on 3rd to 10th grade levels, low income and high income populations, using proprietary software. In order to make the content successful, it was necessary to work with teachers, students, and parents of various organizations, such as Sunnyvale/San Jose/Cupertino Unified School Districts and learning centers to understand what kids need. In addition to serving as a writer, I also acted as a consultant on the WASC committee in Vallejo and Sacramento, assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the teaching practices, along with how California state standards with newly acquired common core were utilized.
