My teaching style is based on Paulo Freire's critical pedagogy, in that I see the inherent internal knowledge that individuals have about their selves and their world as essential to the teaching and healing process. What I know and have to share is important, but without being able to integrate it into your ways of knowing, it will be of limited use to you. This is why teaching and coaching is a relationship, above all else. The limiting beliefs holding you back have been around longer than I have known you, and so in order to learn (and act on) something different, we have to know not only what there is to learn, but what there is to UNLEARN. I look forward to doing this work with you, supporting you, and really seeing you. You are not your experiences, you are endless potential. Let's make sure the world can benefit from your gifts, and so can YOU!
I am a mental health and education professional, having worked with adults and children of all ages. I help others be more aware, in tune, and at peace with their thoughts and emotions. Our thoughts and feelings are not facts, but they ARE information. Unlocking this information, knowing what it means, and how to use it, will open you up to new ways of being and moving forward in the world. If you are tired of dragging yourself through every day, feeling dissatisfied, and coming home each night and not knowing how you got so exhausted and drained, I believe we have real potential to work together to better your life. You must however, be ready to get REAL with yourself and take action (even if it's small steps forward) with your gained self-knowledge.
