My teaching method is to use visuals and connect new topics to previous knowledge in order to solidify students' understanding. I approach each topic by clarifying the student's current knowledge base and adjusting my approach accordingly. I have conducted undergraduate research on the integration of math in dance, which focuses on using dance to teach math to improve students' self-concepts of mathematic abilities. As a result of this research, I have become very aware of how different approaches to education can help students reach new heights in learning.
I am an industrial engineering student with a minor in mathematics at Texas A&M University Commerce. I am set to graduate May 2018, and I have been teaching students in my field/ related fields throughout my four year college career.
