Methodology

My teaching method is thorough with plenty of opportunity to research content. I apply a structure that addresses theory, content, creative writing, and literary and language devices. I aim to track and ensure development through both formative and summative assessment.

Personal Statement
A competent, literature enthusiast and confident writer; I have written articles, poetry and prose and have a key interest in the Gothic, crime, and current affairs. I have substantial experience working in theatre and television which has allowed me to expand on communication, adaptability and practical skills; obtaining a clear understanding of the industry and my craft. Eager and passionate about influencing others, I have worked with children, adults, and learners with learning disabilities, autism and mental health disorders, in an educational environment. My teaching areas favour literature and drama, specialising in creative writing, musical theatre and comedy. I like to spend time developing my own skills through online platforms such as Photoshop and HTML. I am seeking a teaching role that will allow me to develop my work ethic and craft, and capitalise on my professional experience, as well as provide opportunities to obtain personal growth.
