I am studying physics at Oxford University (entry 2015) and received a Distinction in the first year and a First Class in my BA.
I started from a small village in Greece and got into university by teaching myself physics and maths because I could not afford otherwise. Eventually, I scored high in the PAT (physics aptitude test) and the Oxford interviews.
My teaching techniques are original and inspired by my experience in self teaching. Also, taking part in Maths, Physics and Astronomy Olympiads, I learned to clearly communicate my thinking to fellow students or examiners.
I can give lessons to interested high school students that have a passion for learning.
I am always open for discussion.
I started giving lessons before I got into university. My first experience, in 2014, was a series of astronomy talks at my school that I gave to secondary school pupils. I had an overwhelmingly positive feedback and this was an important motivation to me. Then I gave tutorials, not always paid, on occasion to friends or pupils.
In Oxford, I was accepted by an educational company to help with their mentorship programme for Oxbridge applications, and gave my first tutorial to a class of four students in October 2016.
In summary, I have experience in teaching physics/maths to high school students, 1st and 2nd year undergraduates, but also with the PAT admission test and admission interviews.

Perfect! Excellent! Fotios, over the course of 4 months, has really helped my daughter develop her problem-solving skills. He makes the subject engaging and can pass on his enthusiasm to his students. I really think she will do very well in the Physics Aptitude Test.
Good! He knows physics very well and aims to give an engaging tutorial, however I don't think he spent enough time preparing for our lesson which was rather disappointing.
Studying alongside Fotios as Physics students here at Oxford has demonstrated to me that he is one of the most intelligent and diligent Physicists I've ever had the pleasure of working with. His understanding of mathematics and physics, as well as his seamless ability to explain difficult concepts to me and my colleagues, reflects very strongly on his ability as a tutor.
Fotios is such an amazing tutor! He makes everything seem easy, by explaining, even the most complicated ideas, in simple words. He is always eager to answer your questions and help you in anything you need. I totally suggest him as your tutor!
Fotios is a very skilled tutor, with a very broad knowledge spectrum which proves to be essential when answering my questions! I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
