I teach individual, one-on-one lessons which start with the foundations (light, color, shading) and advance in the direction the student is interested in. Some of my specialties are pen and marker, graphite, portraiture, cartooning, and watercolor pencil. Some students may wish to develop a portfolio, in which case I can offer critique as well as instruction.
I am flexible in terms of frequency but I would not recommend any less frequent than twice a month; weekly or semi-weekly is a good place to start. Students should accumulate their own materials over time but I have a range of supplies to share and teach during the lesson period.
I am a creative of many mediums with college-level art education. I have illustrated for greeting card competitions, vlog projects, tattoo designs, and character art, among others. I have been teaching art publicly and privately since 2007, ranging from summer camps to creative art centers to private tutoring for students from elementary school age to teens and adults. A few of my commissioned designs have even been tattooed!
A student who has advanced far enough in my lessons may be asked to provide a materials fee as we delve into more complex projects. However, learners or families with financial needs may contact me to negotiate compromised rates if necessary.
Chain is a fantastic tutor who always gives great and easy to follow explanations, looking at things from multiple sides so no matter what learning style you have she can adapt. She is multi-talented and can help you in various areas, though my personal experience is her help in writing/reading/editing projects. She can always help when you get stuck or show you how to word something differently/better. I definitely recommend Chain as a teacher!
