B.A. (With Distinction) in English (Dartmouth)
M.A. in Social Sciences (Chicago)
Graduate Studies in Social and Biological Anthropology (Harvard)
Wide range of intra- and interdisciplinary knowledge and pedagogical interest spanning most of the humanities and social sciences. Significant depth and breadth of experience--variously as a reader, editor, teacher, writer and director--in creative writing and theater arts as well as all of the above.
My methods and approach are multi-faceted, mirroring the aforesaid interests and experience. If students want help breaking through difficult obstacles to their understanding or mastering of any of the subjects, or simply would like to further pursue new possibilities and/or directions they might take given the knowledge they already possess, I can quite likely be of help to them.
I've taught, edited, written, directed and acted for over 30 years. I've taught over 130 students a day, and seminars of 8-10, and tutored one-on-one. Again, if you are stuck on a problem or problems in your work in the humanities or social sciences, or just want to enlarge, refine or otherwise sophisticate your already proficient academic repertoire, I can probably help you.
