I like to get to know my students and what they are looking for. I guide them through the basics and in creating a solid practice ethic. I also encourage them to learn about other music and to explore their instruments capabilities.
I have been giving private lessons for 30 years. I have taught privately and as a flute coach in local High schools. My students have enjoyed music and some have gone on to performance degrees from Berkelee in Boston. I also teach many styles and ages.
For younger students, I suggest 30-minute lessons. I charge $30 for those. I usually let those lessons go a bit longer if there are no other students after the lessons and depending on what we are working on. I love adult students. I also do provide piccolo lessons.

Marion is considered to be a world-class flute player by many of her colleagues, several of whom reside overseas and only see each other at conventions in the U.S. and Europe.
She can play in virtually any genre and has a fantastic ear for music. She is just as superlative as a collaborator, with skills easily transferable to being an instructor.
While she is well versed in technique with the disciplines to adhere to the rudiments of playing flute, she also is an artist in the sense that she totally supports expression, which she is eager to pass on to students.
And finally, she's great fun to work with! Students will not only learn from one of the world's best, they'll be inspired by her infectious love for the instrument.
