My teaching method is very hands-on, and I can adapt lessons to be more or less technical based on the needs and level of each student. My background in food anthropology will allow me to share food history and French culture with my students, in addition to sharing family recipes and classic dishes of France's regions.
I offer individual classes for those wishing to build basic cooking skills (cutting, cooking techniques and methods, basic ingredient preparation) or experiment with new cuisines. I also offer group classes for those wishing to host a cooking event or prepare a romantic dinner!
I am a passionate home cook and student of food anthropology, and I've lived in different regions of France for the last four years. I have learned to cook regional and traditional dishes from my in-laws and friends, such as crêpes au froment ou blé noir, aïoli with fish and seasonal veggies, the Breton stew kig ha farz, pâté en croute, flan, far breton, and hundreds of other specialties.
Any classes not cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours prior will be billed at the normal price.

Olivia gives me simple and fun classes! She has been my English teacher for two years and has helped me improve my English for work. We always have interesting discussions and sometimes cook together or go to the park during our lessons. Thank you Olivia!
