My name is Victoria Greene and I am a former 8th grade and high school Chemistry teacher who recently moved to the Bay Area. I am excited to share my Chemistry knowledge and teaching expertise with any middle or high school student struggling to grasp general or honors Chemistry concepts. I believe that ALL students can be successful in Chemistry through lessons that are tailored to individual needs. (And also through more than a few bad Chemistry jokes, a sense of humor, and through making lessons both relatable and fun)
Prior to moving to the Bay Area, I was a teacher for four years in the Chicago Public School System, educating over 450 students. My students not only passed Chemistry, but also came to the realization that it's not THAT bad! In fact, by the end of the year, many of them would proclaim that it had become their favorite class. Chemistry is not an easy course, but with the right instruction and the right mindset, it has the potential to be one of the most interesting and enjoyable classes out there. There are countless ways in which Chemistry can become more relatable, fun and most importantly, understandable, and I am excited to share these methods with you.
I have a BS from Miami University (of Ohio, not Florida!) and a Masters in Secondary Science Education from DePaul University.
