When it comes to tutoring, I base each lesson on the individual needs of the students. I often deal with a number of subjects during one tutoring session, so I am frequently adjusting to the students' particular need in each subject. During my lessons, I tutor with a positive energy and am encouraging when students succeed or show progress. When a student is lagging behind or struggling with a topic, I make sure to show compassion and patience, two values that are key to success in tutoring.
I have been tutoring the past three and a half years and have worked with children ranging from ages five to 15. I enjoy tutoring and work with a passion because of the students. They are my number one concern, and their success is pivotal to my success as a tutor. As for my educational background, I graduated from LSU with a degree in journalism and worked as a news producer in Baton Rouge for two years. I also went to high school in the area and am familiar with both public school and private school curricula.
If I am not informed of a cancellation an hour before the scheduled lesson, I will charge for a full hour.
