French native teacher giving french classes: to move fast in a funny and dynamic way!;)

Methodology

My method depends on the level of each student. I like to know the person in front so I can adapt my lessons to his tastes and needs. For beginners I first approach the sounds of French to quickly begin to learn the different times of the language. My goal is to quickly put the student at ease so that we can train to talk by imagining different situations or by exchanging our opinions on different subjects. I always see a little theory but it is immediately put into practice through a few exercises so that the learning is done in a natural way and then the student can improve the way he speaks while adding every day a little vocabulary. I like to feel that the student is having a good time while he/she is learning.

Background

I am a freelance video director and i'm working with my independent society. I grow up in France and when i had 20 i go to Argentina to find my origins and study my passion. I have been teaching French for some years now during my free time with my own students or with the company "Directors Languages". I am now looking (with this new page) for new students interested in learning French around the world.
Come on! Let's break the limits of language together :)

Noe's response

Lemy, Jazmine's son is adorable. Very enthusiastic and eager to learn, shows great vitality. I enjoy teaching him a lot because with the interest he has (and despite being early for him) he learns fast and having fun that is the most beautiful thing. I have no doubts that he will continue to learn really fast; with this energy everything is possible!:)

Gus

Perfect! Super très bon :) Merci M. Noe

N
Noe's response

Gus is an adorable student! He is very shy but very attentive. I'm sure that after some lessons and more confidence we will see notorious progress! :)

Wendy

Perfect! Noe is a fantastic teacher, very positive, friendly, and most importantly, he goes above and beyond preparing for the lessons. I've learned so much from him just in one month. I can now pronounce most of the French words, without looking them up, which is very helpful, because I enjoy the sound of French poetry.

N
Noe's response

Wendy is a very capable student! She is very attentive and after two classes she understood and memorized the logic of how to pronounce most of the French words! :)

K
Kristine

Perfect! Noe is an awesome teacher. I'm so blessed to find someone who is full of energy and very patient to teach my kids.
He is currently teaching my 3 daughters; 11,12, and 16. The two youngest didn't know any French prior to this year, and my 16 year old daughter is taking her 3rd year of French in school. He knows exactly what to cover and how to work with them based on their levels. He covers pronunciation, grammar and sentence structures in every lesson. The way he conducts his lessons are always fun and interesting. Even my 11 yr. old, who is very shy, looks forward to Noe's lessons because of his warm and friendly personality. My girls are always looking forward to their next lessons with Noe and I have noticed that they have all improved a lot in the short time that they have been working with him.

My daughters' reviews are below:

16 yr. old :
Mr. Noe is always so energetic and fun! I have been struggling a lot with French and it's my least favorite class curriculum wise, but I always look forward to his lessons. He is very patient and is always prepared with lots of exercises which help me with grammar in a way which is not boring or confusing. He also encourages me to have conversations in French with him which has helped me with my pronunciation in class a lot.

12 yr. old:
Mr. Noe is a good French teacher. He is patient, teaches well, and provides different materials. he has his lessons ready and teaches multiple things at a time so we can learn faster. He gives us a small set of homework that can be completed in about ten minutes to practice on what we learned in the class.

11 yr. old:
Noe is energetic, nice, patient and helps where you are struggling in French. I am a beginner so I learned from the start. I struggled but he makes it fun while he is teaching. I look forward to learning more French!

N
Noe's response

Kristine's girls are very nice and attentive. I am sure that after a few lessons with them we will already be able to notice some remarkable progress. It's very nice for me to be able to teach my language to almost the whole family! :)

I have been working with Noe on a weekly basis for almost six months now to improve my French language for a professional and personal environment.
I would highly recommend Noe as a French teacher.
He works at my pace but he pushes me enough to support and increase my learning. He keeps the conversation and language relevant and always friendly.
He is always patient with my mistakes and has helped me enormously.
Highly recommended.

I've worked with Noé, and saw how serious and devoted he was. And yet, very cool. I'd trust him for any kind of work or project. Eyes closed. Thus, I could not imagine a better teacher in his domains of expertise.

Noe is a great guy and knowledgeable teacher! I would like to recommend him to everybody who wants to learn French. I'm taking classes for more than 2 months already and fully satisfied.

Jenna

Noe has taught me French 3-5x a week for the last three months. I found him to be one of the best tutors I've ever had, as he was patient, accessible, knowledgable and a very fun person to work with.
He was extremely accomodating and would come up with actvities and exercises for a specific topic if I asked for it. If there wasn't a specific topic I wanted to work on, he would come up with a lesson that was tailored to my level.
I really cannot speak highly enough of Noe, and if it were not for moving to a different continent and being in a different timezone, I would surely continue with him as a tutor.
I recommend Noe without any reservation and truly believe that you will have a fabulous time while learning more French than you will ever realize.

I really want to recommend Noe as superprof in French. I've known him for a long time. He is such a nice person, capable of communicating in various subjects, arts, pictures, movies, literature, writing, which is necessary when teaching a foreign language. He speaks French perfectly because he studied in Paris. I cannot imagine a better teacher.

Interview with Noe

QUESTION 01 | 08
When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?
Noe — I am half French and half Argentinian, and I have enjoyed growing up between the two cultures.
Because of this mix of culture, I realized that it is sometimes impossible to translate exactly what we want to say (with the exact sensation that we wish to create). So the exercise of interpretation between my two native languages introduced me to the world of teaching. After my studies, I had the chance to teach Spanish when I was in France and French when I was in Argentina. I loved this way to approach and share my knowledge. The spontaneous contact with students is something I really enjoy. And it's an unbelievable opportunity to meet people around the world and help them forget about the distance that can separate us.
As an independent filmmaker, I sometimes travel and private tutoring allows me
to continue to work without being physically present. With a wifi connection it's enough to keep teaching languages wherever I am.
QUESTION 02 | 08
Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).
Noe — I don't think there is a particular subject I like to discuss over another. What I really like is realizing
that the student has trusted me enough and begins to talk more than me (overcoming the fear of making mistakes). All the theory that I teach and explain or the games we learn exist for this sole purpose. It's the greatest satisfaction one can have as a teacher.
Not reaching this point is what I like less about tutoring. But thanks to the experiences I have had through the years, I learned how to adapt myself to each student. Everyone has their own level or own rhythm but there are no excuses not to enjoy the process! It's always possible...This work has taught me to listen to others and understand individual needs and enjoy it.
What interests me the most is not
seeing the students write the language correctly but to see them gaining more tools to be independent and express themselves step by step at a pace that suits them.
QUESTION 03 | 08
Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?
Noe — I am lucky to have two parents who are both teachers and they really inspire me because they've always enjoyed their classes. Without a doubt, they have taught me never to fall into a monotonous routine and always try to respond with joy to the difficulties of others. To be spontaneous, original and break that invisible separation between teacher and student are also what they have also taught me.
QUESTION 04 | 08
What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?
Noe — Worry about the needs of the one who is facing you and never stop looking for many different ways to meet them. To be interested in the other person and to stop seeing him as a simple student. Focusing on the student on a human level makes the class more pleasant and fluid.
QUESTION 05 | 08
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.
Noe — Between the ages of 10 and 20, I was really bad at English. Not just bad, reaaaaallyyyyy bad! The worst in my class without a doubt! French and bad at English so you can imagine my level, haha! Today I'm sure many people will say that I am still bad but the good thing is that teaching French or Spanish in the world allowed me to understand English really easily! But if there is something that will never change, it's my terrible French accent. Sorry!
QUESTION 06 | 08
What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?
Noe — The challenges most difficult to teach in language learning is when you have to explain something that is totally different in the language of the student. You must make them aware of the differences and naturalize the new rules from the first moment you talk. For example, I can speak about the two different meanings of the verb "to be" in Spanish. Students need to learn the irregularities and then practice and practice. In French, in general, the difficulty for beginners is reflexive verbs that in English don't exist.
QUESTION 07 | 08
Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?
Noe — I love teaching but my other passion is filmmaking.
It's my second job (www.corazonadasprod.com) and I'm truly dedicated to both. Neither are simply jobs, they are a part of me. :-)
QUESTION 08 | 08
What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions)?
Noe — I think it's my ability to be genuine. At all times it's just me, and I try to create friendships that allows me to let go and have enough confidence to overcome any difficulty. I also think that emphasizing the conversational part helps a lot!
