I am a historian! I love history and all that it encompasses. Teaching and history are my two passions and my philosophy is that if you make a subject come to life and have meaning then learning becomes fun rather than work.
Lessons are based on current texts and are made to show the relevance to the here and now. History is not just about ancient times, places, and people - history happens every day all the time.
As a teacher, I strive to make my lesson come alive and share not just my knowledge but also my love of the subject to my students. My former students will all tell you that I am tough, but I am fair.
I have taught for a little over 10 years and this year will be teaching as an Adjunct History instructor at HCC.
I have taught hundreds of students over the years, many of which upon graduation looked me up on Facebook and Instagram to stay in touch.
The majority of my students have all graduated with most going on to college. I have some former students who are in the military, some who have become nurses, some have become teachers, one former student was just accepted into MED School this summer, and others are still in college reaching to attain their goals.
