Houston PhD: 14 years experience teaching History, Political Science and Social Studies. I will help you understand the lesson and write that paper.

Methodology

I teach, after Paulo Freire, that learning is for critical thinking, empowerment, and becoming an educated person as well as for career opportunities. In face to face classes I take students to museums for extra credit and encourage good humored debate engaging different points of view. In distance learning during the current epidemic we can still have online debate and discussion, powerpoints, movies music and and historic artifacts. Working with reading and writing is always crucial for social science and I am eager to help students in groups or individually with writing and language challenges. Years of teaching at high school, community college and university level.

Background

I have been an adjunct professor for six years and a full time professor for nine. Taught 3000 students and graded 6000 term papers. Some of my students have worked for senators and state representatives. Many have gone to graduate school, become police officers, nurses, lawyers and community leaders. Completed Texas Teacher Certification for 7-12 Social Studies at Teachworthy. Taught ten dual credit high school/college classes.
