I have my master in education with a focus on information literacy. This degree (MSEd: Instructional technology) and State of Illinois Certification (LIS) enables me to help students of all ages learn how to search for, evaluate, and share information. I also have a minor in English, so I am able to teach effective writing skills, as well as grammar, literature and literary argument.
My training helped me to learn various styles of teaching and learning, so I am able to adapt to the various needs of my students. For example, if you are a visual learner, I approach lessons from that standpoint. I find the best and easiest way to make learning fun and enjoyable.
I also have 2 years of cooking lessons with a French chef. I love to cook, and I love to teach! Together, we can cook, learn, and enjoy the food we make.
I have been teaching for twelve years. I have taught hundreds of children, teens, and adults. Statistics have shown that my students reach their desired goals in post-tests. I have taught multiple students to read, write, and evaluate information effectively.
