I have a personable approach to teaching which helps my students to feel relaxed during our sessions. I like to challenge students by having them answer their own questions with some prompting and honing their inference skills so they are able to derive answers for themselves. For me as a teacher, this is much more rewarding than simply spoon feeding students and the pupils' confidence increases greatly as a result of having arrived at the answers by themselves.
I spent six and a half years in university studying linguistics to postgraduate level. I'm a two-time linguistics scholarship winner and I hold two English teaching qualifications along with 4 years experience teaching national 5, Higher English, and the key stages.
