My approach to teaching Spanish is to make it fun and practical. I use communication all the time, so that the student can start speaking in Spanish since the first day. I tailor every class to every student. Each student has his/her own difficulties and I have to address them in a different way so that the student succeeds!! I am a very energetic and motivating professor.
I guide my teaching with the student-centered philosophy, where everyone in the lesson contributes as a student, teacher, and thinker. I learn from students, they learn from each other (in case of a group), and, also, they learn from me. I serve as a guide and facilitator and students are encouraged to participate and develop its English via creative and fun activities.
I am from Peru. English is my second language. I have lived in the United States for 2 years. My first job was Spanish teacher at Sweetwater Montessori School in New Bern, NC. Then, I worked in a Childcare as Spanish teacher too. I am working with kids in a Childcare as a Program Assistant. I love my job. I have a bachelor degree in psychology.
I like to base my teachings on the student's knowledge level. Sometimes I like to make the students practice more orally than writing-wise. However, I touch base on all the basics to assure the students are still learning plenty of new ways to express themselves in Spanish.
I have taught various classes where I would have to create lesson plans as a whole class, in groups, or individually. I have had some health issues but am feeling better. I miss working and teaching students. I use teaching methods like TPR, students repeating in chorale, have students work in pairs and create dialogues to present in front of class.
Repetition is the mother of all learning. I chose this methodology because it emphasizes drill work in order to make answers to questions instinctive and automatic. New forms are first heard by students, with written forms coming only after extensive drilling. The language used for these drills is based on what is required for practicing the specific form; it might or might not be natural.
I have great communicative skills and love teaching others. My methodology is to have my students practice basic vocabulary and simple sentences at first to build a basis to work from.
I use what I consider a holistic approach. For that reason, I take a little of every language teaching method to address the learners' personal learning styles and strategies. In additon, a lot of practice because it makes the difference. Most classes I try to use the natural approach which means following the same steps we use to learn our first languages.
I have a Bachelor of Science and experience in providing private tutorial lessons for students in the beginning stages and intermediate Spanish classes. It is important to me to identify the areas that the student is having most difficulties in and help them understand and remember the subject matter.
As a tutor , I have applied my same techniques to met tutees as I have used them in the classroom. When I work with students . I try to define the learning dimension of my students. I love to create steps that the student can apply to the topic . I like to use acronym to define when to use the verb to be in Spanish. I use images to work with vocabulary recognition.
Active Learning Methodology facilitating the students’ needs, diversity and adjusted to all levels. Developing of students’ reading, writing, and speaking skills. Immersion of students into the Spanish Culture. Set, update, and manage of the class/textbook components. Commitment to the mission of fostering student success, achievement and persistence.
My teaching method is very relaxed. However, I expect commitment and routine. I like to bring in history, culture, and pop references to accompany the subject. I believe that the smaller the group, the better it is to stay focused and give more attention to the details. I like to keep it an open dialogue when teaching but also bring in more traditional methods such as mini exams and assignments.
My teaching style is mainly the Communicative Method, which is highly interactive and dynamic and proven to be effective in the development of student's communication skills. The main goal of this method is the ability to communicate in the target language.
When speaking about teaching methods, I think that it really depends on the students learning styles and how best he/she retains new and sometimes quite difficult tasks like learning new vocabulary words for an upcoming exam or understanding the true difference between the two types of past tenses Spanish has that English does not.
I work with the student to detect areas of need and go from there. I am very flexible and detailed and like to make learning fun and easy. I use the foreign -target language at all times in my teaching and love using my body language to exemplify my teachings. I also enjoy using visuals, technology to support my teaching and fun activities, such as games, videos, songs, etc.

Bachelor's Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, Missouri. Studied Spanish at the University of Maryland Extention Center at the Rota Naval Base, Rota, Spain. I lived in Spain for three and one half years in the US Navy.
I like to mix different teaching methods and use the ones that make the student feel more comfortable. I use structural approaches to learn grammar and syntax and also like to emphasize the spoken and written language. My ultimate goal is to help my students learn as much as they can and in the most practical way possible so they can enhance and practice their Spanish skills.
¡Hola! My name is Amor with experience teaching Spanish giving private o group lessons and I'm also graphic designer living in San Diego. My online classes are simple, fun and easy, to meet your needs and expectations we'll start having conversations and step by step I'll introduce you to the latin world.
I base my classes on what I know and have learned from taking classes in a Spanish speaking country. My mom also teaches Spanish and has material that we both share. I’ve been learning more about different types of Spanish from different countries and know the proper way to teach it.
I work by using structures, that permits to my students to learn easier, faster and in a more independent way. There is a point when the student can work in an autonomous way and that is the success of my method.
I take into consideration at what level my students come in and work around the topics they’d like to learn. I have a relaxed way of teaching, emphasizing on the organic development of learning from my students vs. an established curriculum or program.
I strive to individualize lessons according to the needs, goals and strengths of each student. I focus on making connections to the concepts and ideas that make sense to the learner.
I prepare language classes taking into account not only the reason why the student has decided to learn the language but also his/her learning style.
My lessons will be based on your level of speaking spanish, and expressions you want to portray when you're traveling. I want your chatting skills to be perfected, and teach you easy ways to do so. I want you to walk around asking without hesitation.
I use a learn by doing method and also called the teach back method. I'll go through the situation with the student several times and slowly have them "teach" me what we went over using a variety of examples and content. I also bring additional materials aside from what the student has for homework or coursework.
My teaching method is to use the latest update of the Royal Spanish Academy to teach students different rules of Spanish grammar. I use different Latino cultures to help students have a neutral accent. You will not only learn Spanish, you will also learn about history.
I recently graduated Simon Kenton High School and I have started my Spanish Education degree at Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Ky. I can speak and comprehend fluently in Spanish. I would love to help you in your aspirations to be able to speak Spanish. I love to speak and write so be ready for that.
Lessons to be structured according to student needs (eg. written exercises to strengthen grammar, videos or recordings to improve pronunciation, roleplay to develop confidence in speaking) but always with a pragmatic focus on communication. Thorough, rigorous instruction in an atmosphere of exploration and play.
I have had plenty of experience in offering private and public tutoring services during my college experience. As a native English speaker, I learned most of my Spanish through communication practice and vocabulary memorization. I would offer these same study tools to students, helping them gain confidence in their speaking and writing capabilities.
