A seasoned public speaker; career academic with skilled talents which include sales, marketing, leadership, social media, networking in both corporate and academic environments, by demonstrating rich interpersonal, and critical thinking skills and continually met or exceeded my ability to initiate and sustain relationships in many different professional scenarios.
I was educated at top universities, UCLA and the University of Pennsylvania. I have both a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree. I am also an alumnus in top U.S. programs, including Teach For America and Fulbright. Additionally, I was certified to teach secondary Mathematics and Special Education in Pennsylvania.
I approach learning English in the same way a carpenter approaches building a house. I start with a strong foundation in English (sentence structure, concepts of grammar, subject-verb identification), and then I help my students build their knowledge of English, to the point where students feel comfortable and confident speaking, reading, writing, and listening in English.
My teaching methods/techniques/strategies often vary and combine.
I am a grandmother who is still working and loves to teach Spanish. I give lessons to children, medical staff, adults, and anyone who wants to learn. Using songs, repeating sentences, asking questions, games, worksheets, puppets, stories, and role-playing in my classes.
I used several methods of instruction based on the student's reading level. These may include modeling, SQ3R, About Point, using indexes, glossaries, and appendences. A qualitative reading inventory is usually the starting point to asses, fluency, word recognition and comprehension.
I have over fifteen years of social studies teaching experience, which is my second career. I currently teach AP and Regents level courses at a private high school on Long Island. I am certified for both the AP World and AP U.S. History courses. I am an AP Grader/Rater for both the World History and U.S. History examinations with the College Board.
My teaching method is to take words from the book and make them understandable so students are able to understand them as a whole concept. I think when it comes to the sciences it is important to take the words and make them more understandable so a student is not just memorizing and repeating what they read the night before.
I have mostly helped students from elementary through high school with their studies. When it comes to learning I believe that the correct study habits are not taught and need to be in order for a student to succeed, and that is where I would like to come in. I believe that students need to have a complete understand of a topic in order to succeed instead of learning steps outlined in a textbook.
I would approach each topic by first seeing what the client needs help with, given the wide range of work that goes into running a YouTube channel. Once a specific topic is settled on, then I can begin going more into detail about how they can improve - or begin to work on - whatever it is that they would need help on.
My teaching methodology is making sure we cater to the individual player. This means we utilize your skills and short comings to design a program that will get you to the athlete you want to be. No matter what level you're currently at, there is always a way to improve.
I have received my Master's of Fine Arts from The California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in 2007. My range of knowledge and skills varies as does the world of video and film, if you need help with your equipment or editing software I can help if it is something that I have used and am familiar with. I can let you know right away after you tell me what it is you are working with.
My coaching is based on the awareness of the usual thinking strategies of each person, in one-on-one or group sessions, the discovery of new skills, still untaped. Mastering these new skills and improving performance in learning, at work, in life.
I approach each student by evaluating them independently. I identify areas of interest as well as weak subject areas to best engage and educate the individual. I mostly have experience teaching students in middle and high school who have a particular interest in pursuing a degree in engineering.
I believe that it is important to get to know each student and how they learn best so that I can adjust our sessions to be as productive as possible. I have strong content knowledge and can express this content in a way where my students understand and retain it. I do this is by having my students be engaged in the learning process and by constantly monitoring their growth.
In the classroom, I focus on active learning and switching up delivery methods to keep students engaged. People tend to have difficulty focusing on activities lasting more than 20 minutes, so I keep this in mind when designing lessons.
I have been working with young and older people for years I enjoy helping people and getting the three major parts of their lives in harmony with themselves so they'll be able to achieve their goals and Desires in life.
I have been teaching in public education for over 20 years. Education used to be compact and enriching. In order to achieve your highest expectations, you must master the basic elements of language and math. Beyond that, you will be able to thrive in most other environments, for example History, Science and so forth.
Was accepted into the Linguistics program at Long Beach for my outstanding work done at Las Positas despite the 37 percent acceptance rate. I study the mechanics of language such as grammar and I also work a lot on phonology if you'd like help with your accent.
I am a mother of two kids, and a grandmother of two boys, three and six years old. My teaching method is very hands on. I use charts, flashcards, puppets, games, puzzles, worksheets, and songs in my Spanish teaching. When I teach I use a lot of repetition, and questions and answers to help my students learn.
For the past 25 years, I’ve individualized my tutoring to nurture students’ strengths so that they can become confident, self-motivated learners. I patiently and expertly provide supplementary instruction to further my elementary, middle school and high school students’ proficiency in English language arts.
My name is Rhonda Stevens I am a retired 3rd grade school teacher. I am in search of students from K - 5 grades that may need extra help with their math. I can help with any math problems they may be having problems with in school.
I am creative and share a perspective focused on assets and abilities. Much like dating, one has to understand their own needs and talent/ability to contribute to an organization, and to realize the discovery process in identifying a positive opportunity.
I've found that everyone learns in their own way, and learning to love guitar comes from within. So my teaching method has become first helping you get to the goalpost of gaining the technical chops to allow you to be able to express yourself freely, then helping you build your own sound while guiding you forward. There's always more to learn, and always room to improve what you already know.
I teach with games and stories. I also incorporate memory aids and sometimes include songs the student can dissect.
I am a self taught guitarist of 8 years. I am the founder of my own band "The Palechubs." I have experience with Blues, Jazz, Rock, and Reggae. My method of teaching is consistent in the sense that we will go at the tempo you are comfortable with. In my learning experience I have found tricks that will make learning the instrument fun and easy for both beginners and players with experience.
I am comfortable teaching individual and group classes, either following a book or improvising lessons, using props or unadorned teaching.
My teaching method is to touch all the senses when learning a subject.
Linguistics Major at CSULB. Specializing in Adult Language Acquisition.
My teaching methodology is mainly based on the students I am working with. For younger students (elementary and below), I usually focus on basic grammar and vocabulary, incorporating lots of games and activities in order to make learning English as engaging as possible. With older students, I will usually take a more structured approach depending on their needs.
