My teaching methodology is to start with a technique or equation, discuss it, practice it using example problems, and then talk through how we derived the solution. Problem-solving is about thinking through the situation and identifying what is unique about it. Then we can solve a wider variety of problems.
I am willing to provide lessons for any level and will tailor them to the individual. I am very flexible and understand that people learn in different ways, so the first thing we will do is develop a lesson plan that benefits you. This is not a classroom, so we have the freedom to learn in the way that makes the most sense to you.
I base my classes on catching up on the topic that they did not understand in their school. I used to set up two meetings per week and discuss with students- reviewing the class material, such as recreating a small "interactive lecture." I use clear, appropriately-paced pronunciation and modify my language according to the level of my student.
My teaching methodology changes according to the person I am working with. I am a firm believer that not everyone learns the same way and that it is a teachers job to modify their teaching methods to best fit with the students their are teaching.

Countless worksheets, exercises and flashcards helped with certain parts of my language abilities, but seemed to neglect others. One of my students once told me that he learned more in our first tutoring session then he did in his entire high school career. While I don't believe this to be true I think it shines a light on what I think is my greatest assets as a tutor; I have the ability to describe the same thing from a few different perspectives, and I can find the thing concept which the student is hung up on.
