Learning programming languages requires primarily programming. Programming is a subset of problem solving. Programming requires knowledge of the programming language, logic, math (often), and creative problem solving. Concepts are explained clearly if there is a need. Otherwise, practice is the focus. Active learning is best in any subject.
I start from basics and make sure student understands each and every concept thoroughly. I also complete the assignment and make sure I deliver it before the due date.
I first try to asses the student and see if she/he is nervous and try to understand the reason of her nervousness. When I teach I always give lot of details the way I would want to know it.
I am not learning without having fun and most importantly I know where I began and what is the goal I want to reach. I have been teaching to my family (parents and grandparents) since I am learning by myself for the past 12 years (since I got a keyboard and a mouse in my hands!).
I believe in all individualistic, interactive, and guided methods of teaching. I enjoy connecting with my tutees and their interests to create an exciting and interactive learning environment. A typical session will usually start with a pitch or introduction, following examples, a modeling process, a hands on process, and ultimately, a reflection.
I teach based on the level of knowledge the student possesses. It is always an interactive session with me. Not just a lecturing session. Relaxed environment. As long as the student is interested and willing to learn it will be fun while learning.
My methodology is quite simple. Find applicable ways for students to understand what i am teaching. For example, something we all know and have had a hold on is receipts. So to explain a real world use of Microsoft Excel, i would create a little 4 item database and show exactly how the transaction is done from the time you scan an item is done to the point where the final total shows.
As a recent graduate, as well as, a current student in pursuit of a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, my level of education allows me to assist students working toward an Associates degree, down to Junior High students just beginning their journey.
I am self taught with Excel but I've used it so many times that I've been considered a wizard. It has always come natural to me and I love sharing my knowledge with others and teaching tricks and shortcuts to be more effecient.
Learning how to use a computer ( windows or MacOS ) can be little challenge. After 12 years to help employees with different level in a large international company. I would love to help you now with my large and broad technologies skills. I believe in this method of instruction, you are doing the work and I guide you.
I am a former Networking Instructor at ITT Technical Institute and a current Electronics Technician. I have an A.S. in Computer and Electronic Engineering and a B.S. in Information Systems Security. I have a unique gift of analyzing my students which guides me to the appropriate style of teaching each individual accordingly.
My teaching style is to go at your pace. I want you to understand all concepts of one subject before we move on. I will have short quizzes ( but will not grade them ) to help you see where you are, and if we can proceed.
My teaching method varies depending on the number of students, the learning style of the student, and the subject itself. Generally, I explain concepts, find simpler analogies, give examples, and test the students current understanding. I firmly believe that every student has the capability of grasping the concept but just needs the right instruction to get there.
I start at whatever level you are at--from zero knowledge to some familiarity--and "up your game" quickly by sharing my computer screen with you. I show you the problem, how to attack it, let you "drive" after you watch me and replicate what I have done.
My teaching method is to build confidence in the student by drawing the correct answers out of them and to encourage asking questions. At the same time I have with how to take notes better, how to study better, and also how build strong study habits.
I first asses the current knowledge of my student and make sure that learning goals are aligned with their needs. Based on the initial assessment we develop a learning plan with realistic goals and timelines, so we get right on track.
I am open to teaching all ages because I think that it is never to early/late to gain more knowledge, especially in the up and coming tech world. While teaching online I prefer to use Google Hangouts+ or Skype because it is easier to share screens to give you step by step help along the way.
I have a hands-on approach to teaching.
1. History and Names of Computer gurus. Hardware and Software fundamentals. 2. Brainstorming Problem Solving Method Computer assisted learning(CAI) Programmed learning 3. BRAINSTORMING: Brainstorming is a group creativity technique that was designed to generate a large number of ideas for the solution of a problem.
I approach teaching by assessing what you already know. Finding out do you want to know, or what goals you have? Coming up with a plan that works for us both in getting you to that goal. I am available in person and virtually.
I teach Information Technology and computer programming courses for all ages, with an emphasis on college/university level students. Programming courses include, but are not limited to: Visual Basic.NET development, Beginner-level C++ or Java Development, Scripting with Python, Powershell, or Bash, website development with HTML, CSS, and PHP.
My teaching methods range from the various people I help. Getting to know your students and how they learn plays a key role in how you teach someone. After learning how my student learns the best I will apply it to my teaching. For example, younger kids cannot really sit still very long so a fun activity that involves something like games or arts and crafts would be the best way to teach.
I am a highly-skilled software application facilitator ready to teach students and adult learners the tips and tricks for efficiency in MS Office and more! All classes include overview discussions, demonstration, practice and review. Classes are conducted in a virtual instructor-led, group format and one-on-one coaching in 1-3 hour sessions.
I am computer savvy and I will be offering to give Basic Computer lessons to all students of all ages on the webcam. The lesson structure I will be using is demonstrating how to navigate around on Windows and Mac computers. I will also offer lessons on how to navigate around on Android Tablets and Smartphones along with Apple Ipad and Iphone.
There is, has been, and will always be a certain group of people whom inspiration visits. It’s made up of all those who’ve consciously chosen their calling and do their job with love and imagination. Their work becomes one continuous adventure if they manage to keep discovering new challenges in it.
I give lessons to college students, professionals, and adults seeking further knowledge in any area of technology. I teach people to fish instead of giving them fish. I am a professor X of sorts helping others unlock their full potential. I will be open to your questions and will not waste your time.
I am an IT professional with certificates in print and web. I like to work one on one with my students are my clients to get a clear understanding of what they're looking looking for or need. I have done many graphic design pieces for my family and professionally and also love teaching it and using this offer to help people with their needs.
I'm very hands-on when it comes to teaching. I present problems that the students must use a wide range of skills to be able to solve. This is how it is in the computer programming industry, and I believe the sooner they can get used to working on project-based problems, the more prepared they will be.
My teaching method is hands-on. I teach as the students are doing the work. There for any questions they have can be answered immediately. I like to do small sections of work together so that you can learn the most from that topic covered.
My teaching method is personalized, since we all learn very differently. I've also found through college that to understand certain complex concepts, one must fully understand the basic abstract concepts that it is built upon, and work his or her way up- this is what I'd like to bring to my students so that they can explain the concepts to others as well. This is a bottom-up approach.
To be sure of the quality concerning our teachers and their lessons, we collect the reviews of former students.

Perfect! Matthew has been a very helpful tutor for me in CSE 142. Matthew is very patient, insightful, and fun to work with. He easily adjusted to my learning style to teach me how to understand concepts better than if I attended lecture alone (personally, I...
Perfect! I recommend Matthew to other aspired Programmers. I've learned key concepts in Computer Science, & am gaining insights everytime we meetup. He responds to my questions & emails. And even is giving a letter of recommendation for me. Great find.
