The way I go about teaching or tutoring is first asking the student if they have any immediate questions about a topic they don't understand. If so, I will go through the material with the student and explain it in a different way than previously presented in order for them to understand it.
My teaching method always begins with making sure my student fully understands the idea/process behind what I am teaching, than following that with practice until it is mastered. Practice is the only way I found studying to be efficient, and practicing when you understand a subject makes it rather fun than irritating.
My teaching method is very thorough and to the point. When teaching science courses, I like to use visual aids. I am patient with my students, because I want to ensure they understand the material. Once I am finished explaining the material, I like to test the student to see if he or she understands the material by asking them to re-explain the topic to me.
It is important to me that students are self-motivated and eager to learn. I enjoy figuring out multiple ways to explain something until someone gets it -- I especially enjoy putting literary or pop culture twists on things, such as Star Wars or Harry Potter-related problems or analogies. My lessons are structured depending on what the student needs.
My goal is to create enduring understanding so that you actually master the subject, not just memorize for a test. I do that in a super fun and relaxed atmosphere, using your learning style, as well as the most current brain research about how students actually learn best.
I have bachelors and Master of cellular and molecular geneticist and currently doing my last year of clinical routation in clinical cytogenetic at UCLA. I have 2 thesis in SNP and personilize medicine and more than 3 years of research background and one year of industry work experience.
I usually teach an undergraduate classes, my technique is based on more practical knowledge. I use Power Point to stratify the lesson, that makes the lesson more interactive and interesting. I prefer more dialog style class, where both students and tutor are talking.
Me teaching method is I make the lessons seem funner with activities. I don’t like pressuring anyone. Teaching and learning is suppose to be fun. I would approach students with fun activities. Logical strategies. Make them understand with visuals...

-What are your techniques and methods of instruction? My method of instruction starts by learning my students better, how they learn, what are their strengths, etc. I then cater my education to their needs.
